How bot & VPN detection works
- 1ASN Check: The visitor's IP is matched against a blacklist of known datacenter ASNs, VPN providers, Tor exit nodes, and bot networks. Over 1,000 ASNs are flagged.
- 2ISP Keyword Analysis: ISP names containing "hosting", "cloud", "datacenter", "vpn", "proxy", and similar keywords are scored as suspicious.
- 3Browser Fingerprinting: JavaScript collects canvas hash, WebGL vendor, hardware concurrency, screen depth, and timezone. Headless browsers and inconsistent fingerprints are flagged.
- 4Behavior Scoring: Mouse movements, keyboard events, touch events, and page load timing are analyzed. Bots show unnatural patterns — they score high.
- 5Risk Score (0–100): All signals are combined into a single risk score. Clicks above the threshold are blocked and logged as "Bot/VPN" in your dashboard.
